The Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care is the future of cancer care in the Kennebec Valley region.
Made possible by the tremendous vision and financial support of Maine philanthropist Harold Alfond, the 59,000-square-foot center combines high-tech equipment and the compassionate care for which MaineGeneral is known in one easily accessible location in north Augusta.
The center opened in July 2007, guided by a philosophy of a holistic approach to patient care.
We offer a team of experienced, knowledgeable doctors, nurses, technicians and social support specialists to oversee patient care.
Our center also has the latest technology and employs a sophisticated approach to combating cancer that is usually found only in large, teaching hospitals.
The Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care supports multi-specialty treatment planning through clinics that specialize in breast, gastrointestinal, head and neck and colorectal cancers.
